I built this kit a couple of years ago. I had fun building it, but it turned out to be nearly useless as an instrument. The neck never quite straightened enough to make it easy to play, despite adjusting the truss rod as much as I could. One of the tuners snapped in half, so I had to buy new ones. The electronic components are even worse. The volume control is finicky at best. The tone control is a joke, too. The pickups are the best of the guitar. They sounded acceptable when running through an effects box. I spent $85 to paint this guitar and it did turn out beautifully. That's the only reason I kept it. If you buy this, you may not have my experience. I see lots of positive reviews on this kit. Just be aware that some of the really cheap parts may need replacing.
