Order Saga PB-10 P Style Electric Bass Kit

This was my first guitar kit,and I chose to build a bass guitar because I did not already have one. The kit components are very nice, and body and neck wood are very good. The neck is especially nice. The kit was fairly straight-forward to build. One area in the instructions that was a little lacking was the section on mounting the pickups, and for some reason there were no pre-drilled holes in the pickup cavity for the mouting screws. Easy to figure out and over come though. Otherwise the instructions were good, and if you follow the steps provided regarding refinising, the results will be excellent. I had a couple of "lessons learned" on this project. One - make sure to inspect the wiring before you mount the pick guard. I had a wire come loose, and had to find a P-Bsss wiring schematic online to figure out where to re-solder it. Two - if you paint your kit with a color vs. using a stain or just a clear top coat, use an adequate amount of paint. When I rubbed my guitar out, I didn't have enough paint on two places where the edges were sharp, and I ended up with some small bare-spots. However, following the instructions resulted in an overall outstanding finish. I painted my body a Jade Green and I painted the pick guard a dual tone black with a gray stripe down the middle. It looks great. This was a lot of fun to do. [...], and lined my pickup and contol cavities with copper tape to reduce noise and hum. This worked great. The end result is a very nice instrument that sounds and plays great. The kit pieces fit nicely, and excepts for the pickup screw mounts, all the screw holes are pre-drilled, and everything fit very well. All in all a nice kit, and worth the money.Get more detail about Saga PB-10 P Style Electric Bass Kit.
