I am a beginner. I wanted to get a nice guitar for a modest price. I bought this package from The Instrument Store. I kept my expectations low. I expected a toy. I only paid $173 total w/shipping. Now my review. 1st of all I received notification from Amazon and The Instrument Store soon after I made my purchase. I received the guitar in 3 business days by U.P.S. Everything came in 1 box. The guitar was packed inside of the case which kept it protected during shipping. All the accesseries were included. The guitar is very pretty and I am hard pressed to find a blemish. This tells me that I got a good deal and that the QC standards are very high. The guitar is not a toy. It is made of good materials and the overall construction is solid. The amplifier is cute, small and only 10 watts compared to my 100 watt Bose surround speakers. However the size will certainly fool you because it weighs about 20 pounds and it can put out a lot of sound. The main reason I chose to order this package is because it came with lessons. I have seen Esteban on T.V. and admire his skill. His instructional videos are as good as having him sit with you in your home. I even tuned my guitar (to my satisfaction) using the 1st video. No fancy gadget. So there you have it. Esteban did his part (thanks and good luck sir), The Instrument Store did their part (thanks for the great service folks), now it's up to me to learn to play.
