I am very pleased with the Amigo guitar that I recently purchased for my 6 year old's birthday. A close friend is a professional guitar instructor and has also given it his approval. He did lower the action on it and will add strap buttons before she gets it on her birthday. It plays well, has a nice sound and holds a tune. As I was searching for 1/2 size guitars for her to truly learn on, many others were reviewed as "toys."
