I've been surprised and delighted with my 5120 since I saw it on the wall at the music store. It has decent sound with good electronics, and the neck is one of the best I've ever played, well shaped and finished. I've always liked Bigsby trems, and this one is why. BTW, mine has the silver pickguard with the Gretsch logo. Looks great. Couldn't be more satisfied with this guitar.Get more detail about G5120 Electromatic Hollow Body Electric Guitar with Dual Coil Pickups.

Schecter Hellcat VI Electric Guitar (Gloss Black) Review
Got this a few months ago but wanted to wait until after the "honeymoon" period to write a review.....
First off, totally ignore what Amazon states here in the description. IT IS NOT an "Extended Scale Baritone Guitar." It is a short-scale, 6-string bass!
It is tuned like a standard guitar E to E except one octave below that of a regular guitar. For the record, baritones are usually tuned A-A and have scales of 28" or so as opposed to the 30" scale of the Hellcat VI. A bit of history...Short-scale, bass six stringers (primarily the classic Fender VI made in the '60s) were used and still used by a number of artists. Some examples...Robert Smith of the Cure on many recordings as well as The Beatles on some of their later albums. Peter Hook in Joy Division/New Order. Joe Perry played one on "Back in the Saddle." Jack Bruce recorded the first two Cream albums with one. The Schecter - unlike some other short-scale bass 6 stringers - is set-up for gauges .095 to .025 which I think bring out the best in this type of instrument as well as provide maximum versatility.
If you are looking for a Fender VI-type instrument and either can't afford the thousands of dollars a vintage one costs or can't locate one - this is your instrument! Personally, I love the sound of it and enjoy both its bass guitar and regular guitar characteristics. BUT.. it really is neither. Nor is it a baritone guitar. It's its own animal. It can function very well as a bass. But, it also shines playing melodic leads in the mid and upper-register. Chording is also possible in the mid and upper ranges as well.
Excellent build quality. Fine fit and finish. Lots of possible adjustments and sound combination are possible with its three tap pick-ups. Wonderful tone. It's got it all. And at a very reasonable price. No, its not a vintage 60's Fender VI. But, it is not that far off. In fact, reading through the forums it was apparent that a number of players preferred the Hellcat VI vs. the much more expensive Fender Bass VI reissues.
Best played (IMHO) though a bass amp to do it justice and accentuate the lower frequencies. Effects sound really great with it. Especially modulation such as delay, chorus, reverb, phaser, vibrato and/or tremolo. The VT Bass pedal by Tech 21 - an Ampeg emulator - also helps brings out and fine tune the excellent sound characteristics.
This instrument isn't for everybody. But, if its for you it is a fine choice. The only limitation is your own creativity and imagination. YMMV.
I wanted the black finish and at the time I could only find it at Amazon. Arrived less than a week later. Impressive packing job. With their no questions asked 30-day refund guarantee I felt there was no risk.Get more detail about Schecter Hellcat VI Electric Guitar (Gloss Black).

AXL Badwater SRO Electric Guitar, Brown This instant
I just picked up one of these Guitars the other day on a hunch. And so far for the cost (Under 200.00 shipped to my front door) I am really blown away. So for all you folks who want to try the relic style with out spending big bucks - This Guitar might be your ticket.
I was truly impressed with this guitar right out of the box. It has a narrow neck but the frets feel great - no sharp edges to deal with.
From what I have seen every Axl Badwater has its own personel relicing - No two are exactly alike.
The EMG Designed Pickups really shine! Two singles and a Humbucker in the bridge - and these guys are super Quiet. And to me very Strat sounding. 5 way switch,1 vol and two tone.
This guitar is alder and very light with alot of acoustic tone.
The guitar is reliced very well - it appears well used and looks like it has been lying in someones closet for the last thirty years.
Though allot of folks are comparing these to a Strat to me its quite diffrent- other than the double cutaway. The body is really closer to a Duo or Mustang with its narrow waist.
All the hardware has a antiqued bronze finish that looks really good and unique. Everything on this guitar looks old with the eception of the 3 EMG's.
Now keep in mind I have based my review on the affordability of this great little guitar. and the unique coolness.
These days I spend allot of time seeking out low cost winners. And this is surely one of them. I have a spent a lot of money on high end guitars but no longer.
The badwater - If your into Heavy Relic guitars they are well worth a look!

Martin LXM Little Martin Acoustic Guitar wtih Gigbag Best Quality
I bought the Koa Little Martin about 3 years ago for my kids to learn on. Guess who's been playing it....ME! I was waiting in line at a music store to buy some small item and saw the Little Martin sitting on a guitar stand nearby. I picked it up while I was waiting and was so impressed with the wonderful tone, action, and playability from such a small guitar that I bought it right on the spot.
Less than a year from when I bought the Little Martin the top started to separate from the right side body panel. It would have been still under warranty had I registered it, my other acoustic guitars (Ovations) are over 20 years old and I have never had any structural problems with them so I didn't expect any problems with the Little Martin. So I ended up paying for the repair myself.
I truly love this guitar and keep it out on a guitar stand and use it regularly for practicing. I must pick it up and play a bit whenever I walk by. I do recommend it to many people.
It is overall very good quality and stays in tune. A nice plus is that it comes with a good quality padded gig bag.Get more detail about Martin LXM Little Martin Acoustic Guitar wtih Gigbag.
SA100 Value Acoustic Guitar Package Get it now!
This guitar according to me is perfect for those who cant afford expensive guitar and just want a guitar to learn or practice with and if needed play for a group of friends of 5-10 easily and with pretty good sound quality.
The Guitar pack comes with the Guitar, Gig Bag, Picks, Strap and a Manual Tuner.
The gig bag is slightly cheap in the sense that its like a body fit bag and the tuner is the kind which you blow into and tune it with that...personally I dont use them but the other stuff is awesome...
The finish is beatufil with black sides and back.
My advice - If budget under $150 then go for this otherwise Yamaha for 150Get more detail about SA100 Value Acoustic Guitar Package.
Dean BOCA 12 String Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar Classic Black Buy Now
As a hobbyist guitar player, I thought I would have some fun and expand my playing with a 12-string. The Dean Boca, made in Korea, is about the best combination of quality and usefulness you can get for its $300 price, I discovered. One thing I have not seen in other reviews: The headstock is heavy, to the point that it affects the balance of the instrument. If you notice the photos, the body is relatively small, even though it mimics the appearance of a Gibson 335 jazz guitar. With the strap holders at their normal places, at the tail and the point of the upper cutaway, the distance between the suspension points is quite short. Due to the weight of the maple neck and, of course, the 12 tuners, the guitar headstock tends to dip when you're playing standing up. It also puts a lot of weight on your shoulder. My solution for this is going to be to get a long padded strap with leather strips on the end and tie the strips around the headstock above the nut. One other issue I've seen with 12-strings is the width of the fretboard, due to the extra strings. On the Boca, this extra width is not enough to be a problem to me. If I were a professional musician, I would have definitely have spent double, triple or quadruple the money for a higher-end guitar, like an Ovation, Fender or Rickenbacker. But I'm happy with the Boca. It puts a smile on my mouth!Get more detail about Dean BOCA 12 String Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar Classic Black.

Agile AL-2000 Blue Flame Right now
Starting to learn bass guitar (I chose the Silvertone LB11, which I have also reviewed) ended up making me realize two things. 1: Bass is really fun, and a cool instrument. And 2: You can't play everything on it. So chances are, eventually you'll want a guitar like I did. But although I was pretty sure I would like learning guitar as well, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a top-of-the-line model. Still, understandably, I wanted something solid. I asked around on Internet forums and Rondo Music's guitars were recommended. Searching them had me stumble upon the AL-2000 line, which seemed to come with nothing but positive reviews everywhere I looked. So I spent a few days deciding on the perfect color for me, and ended up picking the Blue Flame model offered here.
I've only had this guitar for a few days, and have much to learn. But sometimes it's easy to discern quality. The moment I took the protective foam lining from the body of the guitar, I knew I had picked the perfect one. And as soon as I plugged it in, I was assured. My friend who has played guitar for three years or so was around when I opened it, and he agreed that I had picked a great first guitar.
Everything is held together well, and the body feels extremely durable. The finish seems perfect, although the flame isn't as pronounced as I had thought. It still looks great, and is more of a sea blue in the middle, with the accented parts and pick guard being cream-colored rather than white like the pictures seem to portray. The metal-looking control knobs are more of a dark amber color and semi-see through.
The sound, even through the cheap-o amp I got in my bass package, is incredibly clean and crisp, with a light twang of an undertone depending on how you have the settings. I really don't think it could sound better. I strongly believe the Agile AL-2000 looks and sounds like a $700 guitar, so for the offered price it's a steal.
That being said, there is one main drawback--this thing is heavy. Quite heavy. Even more so than my bass, which is no lightweight. My bathroom scale puts it at around 11 pounds, but it feels like more than that. And it's all in the body. That weight is no reason to actually avoid buying the guitar, but it's something to be aware of. Also, the guitar was shipped in only the plain, semi-shaped case scrawled with the Agile logo, and held inside with a few formed pieces of cardboard and wrapped in a thin Styrofoam wrap. It arrived in pristine condition, but the method of packing is questionable.
Still, don't pass this up if you're looking for a high-quality, "budget" guitar.Get more detail about Agile AL-2000 Blue Flame.
Lowest Price Taylor Guitars Big Baby Taylor, BBT, Natural
Besides the fact that my hands are too big for the guitar neck, I think this guitar is wonderful. Big sound for a small guitar. Very playable. Harmonics are clear and crisp. This guitar is perfect for beginners and children. Not too pricey, but sounds better than most guitars in its price range, and even some guitars that are hundreds more expensive. Buy Washburn HB Series HB15CTSK Electric Guitar
This is a fantastic archtop guitar, and at a very reasonable price. Set-up is great right out of the box. It isn't fancy, but the fretwork is MUCH better than I've seen on other guitars in this price range. The bridge is fitted almost perfectly. Fit and finish is better than I've seen on Epiphones costing twice as much. Acoustically, it is quite loud, with good mellow tone. Plugged in, you have the same sound, but louder. The floating pickup works great for amplified acoustic jazzy sounds. And NO feedback! I turned it up quite loud and nary a squeal. If you're after a twangy electric sound, though, this guitar is probably not for you. The gig bag is okay, but I will be getting a hard case. My only other complaint is that the nut is on the narrow side, about 1 21/32 inches, more like a chunky Strat neck than a Gibson. I'm not sure this is a problem; the more I play it, the more I like it. I've owned and sold six other archtop guitars, but this one is a keeper!Get more detail about Washburn HB Series HB15CTSK Electric Guitar.
Purchase Westwood WWCG36 3/4-size Classical Guitar with Bag and Strap
I bought this guitar to teach my grandson guitar. I wanted nylon strings and a smaller neck so he could learn without the pain of steel strings and could reach the chords easily. For that purpose this guitar works great. As far as the sound - not so great - but I expected that considering the low price. My grandson loves playing it and so far doesn't know what great guitar sound can be so it is working well. Plus I didn't want to invest a lot of money until I knew he would really stick with the guitar.Get more detail about Westwood WWCG36 3/4-size Classical Guitar with Bag and Strap.

Order PRS SE Custom 22 Guitar, Tobacco Sunburst with Stoptail Bridge
Who wouldn't want a 60's Fender Strat or Gibson Les Paul Today.
Well time moves on and 30 years from now you will wish you owned a guitar by Paul Reed Smith. This is the PRS SE Custom which is the Korean made version, but the quality is still quite high and the price is reasonable (although I did get it at the "Gold Box Price"). If you can afford the American made PRS, then by all means do so, after all that is what Carlos Santana plays.
But I'm not Santana, just an amateur player who appreciates quality, playability at an affordable price. When my guitar arrived, it did have one minor ding in it, but oherwise was beautifully made. it does have the flat rather than beveled top, but I've not noticed the difference. I got the stoptail bridge, no whammy bar, mainly because of some online complaints about the whammy bar version going out of tune. But mine stays in tune just fine, so I can play, and not spend all my time tuning.
It's a better guitar than I am a guitar player, but perhaps to alter the movie quote of Jack Nicholson in "As Good As It Gets":
"It makes me want to be a better guitar player"

Shop For Epiphone PR-5E Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Shadow Preamp, Vintage Sunburst
Firstly, let me say that I have been playing guitars for about fifteen years. I have played good guitars, and crappy ones, and I'll just say...
This is a very, very, very cool guitar. If you need a guitar and are strapped for cash, I think this is the best bet. It's compact, but has a big sound. The electronics, are decent, definitely not as durable as say a martin, but fantastic for the price, it also has a built in tuner, so you can do tune checks just about anywhere (one you've got batteries). The guitar is made in China, as all Epiphones tend to be, but inspected in the USA, and the material quality is good.
The neck is a bit on the narrow side, and may not be favorable to people with large hands. The tone is uniform throughout the neck and the guitar keeps its tuning very well even after hours of strumming.
All in all, I would recommend to someone looking for a decent, afordable, beautiful-looking, acoustic electric. - Good job Epiphone!!!Get more detail about Epiphone PR-5E Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Shadow Preamp, Vintage Sunburst.
Luna Muse Safari 3/4 Travel Guitar w/ Gig Bag - Natural
Having tried most of the 3/4 size acoustic steel-string guitars, since I was looking for a short scale instrument that travels easily but mainly offers less tension on the strings (a benefit of shorter scale), the Luna Safari Muse seems by far the best deal. Yes the Taylor Baby (that costs twice as much) IS a little better sounding with a stronger bass, and sports a little more classy-cal finish, but I think the Luna is far better than the small XL Martins, not to speak of the Martin backpacker and a few others I tried. The instrument came well set up for average taste (a bit high but safe), with decent strings. I plan to lower the action a little at both the nut and bridge, and use lighter strings yet. The neck is straight and has a truss rod. Looks nice, feels fine, the frets are A-OK, the design is original, with an interesting edging in place of binding, and the satin finish is pleasing. I looked at 3 and none was a lemon. It seems it's wood unlike the "textured HPL" they use on the Martins (composite overlaid with photo of wood), though it's not all raw timber. The top seems layered and the bridge seems like a softer wood that is stained dark, but the vibration is transferred just fine. They use clever design to give you a decent acoustic guitar at under 150 bucks, nothing else like it at that price. The greatest weakness is perhaps its low mid range resonant peak. You can most notice it if you fret the D string at the octave, meaning you will hit a bit of that boxy "ukulele" tone at times. It's what some people object to in all the small-body guitars. Something like the Backpacker is all "ukulele" midrange. The truth is that the physics are inescapable, the trick is to squeeze a decent treble and bass out of the instrument anyway, and the Luna Safari does. Also that particular peak is part of the specific personality of the instrument. They accessorize with an allen wrench for the truss rod and an unpadded canvas bag that's pretty minimal.Get more detail about Luna Muse Safari 3/4 Travel Guitar w/ Gig Bag - Natural.

Epiphone SST Studio Solid-Body Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Ebony Top Quality
While there is no way this is going to give you the sound of a good quality dreadnought acoustic that doesn't mean it doesn't sound great. I am blown away by how natural the sound of this guitar is.
This is a much improved version of the old Chet Atkins model. I have both Epiphone models and the SST Studio is head and shoulders above the older model. The new pickups and new preamp make it easy to dial in and get a real acoustic guitar sound.
Now you may ask why purchase this guitar over a regular acoustic like the PR5E which also sound great plugged in. Here are my reasons.
1. No feedback issues. The guitar has no sound hole so you eliminate that issue altogether.
2. small and light. It is much easier to play for an entire gig than my Takamine dreadnought.
3. It sounds better with a band in my opinion. While I would probably not play this for a solo guitar gig I think the brightness of the guitar cuts through much like the sound you hear in Nashville country music. It adds a great acoustic sound to the band.
4. $350 it worth having just for the novelty. We all need another guitar, right?Get more detail about Epiphone SST Studio Solid-Body Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Ebony.
Luna Neo Mini Electric Guitar - White This instant
I bought this guitar in attempt to practice the technique of wrapping your thumb around the neck to play the bass line (watch the footage of Hendrix at woodstock). A small scale guitar would be perfect for that. And, for just that, it does ok. However, quite a number of the frets buzz, the body is not contoured to anyones body, and you are smacked in the face with "cheap". I even broke the adjustable poles on the humbuckers the first time I tried to turn them. Weirdly, this actually improved the sound quality, which was below average to begin with. With all the poles sank deep into the humbucker it actually has a rather nice mellow tone now.
Around the time I bought this, I picked up an Ibanez Mikro for the same price. As a short scale guitar, the Ibanez is much, much better and easier to play, though it lacks the "warmth" of midrange tone you get from the Luna.
For the price, the Luna a decent guitar, though it should only be considered a basic beginner guitar or practice guitar. It does look good though.Get more detail about Luna Neo Mini Electric Guitar - White.
Amigo AMT10 Travel Guitar w/ Bag Best Quality
Have had the amigo for some time now, and it is as good as a conversation piece, to hang on the wall, or torture my friends as a joke when we're bored.
I bought this with high hopes after reading a few reviews. I bought a Washburn Rover at the same time and have Amazon reviewed that too.
Pros:
It looks great for a small, travel guitar. The tear-drop design is a winner to hold as well.
The Amigo has remarkable volume (for its size) compared to Washburn Rover.
Cons:
The sound is horrible. Now in fairness, maybe it is my one or the batch (28 June 2007), but the neck is out, it never stays in tune, and the wood it is made from is cheap and nasty. The fret board I doubt is rosewood and looks like its been painted the same colour, except for where it has chipped away.
The strings it came with were horrible, and going off another review I replaced them with classical nylon strings, but this hasn't made it any better to play or hear.
Would I sell it? Probably not unless someone offered $50 for it. I like to have it serve as a reminder to go with my intuition and not to buy things i do not need. It looks nice sitting around though, as a piece of art.
Compare this to the Washburn Rover and I say spend the extra $$$ and will surely not regret it. The Rover comes in a good package.
I had real high hopes for the Amigo and was keen to help out the Romanians, but this is seriously one of the most useless instruments I have ever purchased.Get more detail about Amigo AMT10 Travel Guitar w/ Bag.

Luna Muse Safari 3/4 Travel Guitar w/ Gig Bag - Mahogany Order Now
This guitar is PERFECT for what I needed. I'm a music teacher who has suddenly found herself on the "cart" and I wanted an affordable, lovely sounding, easy to play travel guitar...and that's exactly what this is! I tried out the Baby Taylor, the Little Martin...both kinds, the Martin Backpacker, the Little Brat, and the Yamaha. I really love the Baby Taylor, but at that price, I just didn't feel comfortable leaving in the storage at work or letting the kids touch it so I took a chance and bought the Luna Muse sight unseen. I'm so thrilled! The sound is very similar to the Little Brat, though I personally think the highs on the Luna are more pleasant than the Brat. The action is a touch high, but is easily adjustable. The guitar is also smaller than the Brat which has a considerably thicker body. The guitar is beautiful looking and cleanly made. I don't know what the previous reviewer is saying about the frets on the neck...mine are perfectly smooth...it was the first thing I checked.
No, not as fine as the Baby Taylor, but worth considerably more than I paid. This is in the same price range as the Yamaha, and it absolutely blows the Yamaha out of the water in both the quality of its make and the sound! 100% happy that I purchased this guitar.Get more detail about Luna Muse Safari 3/4 Travel Guitar w/ Gig Bag - Mahogany.

Lowest Price Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar, Cherry
I found one of these on sale for $99 and snagged it for my nephew. He was a bit too young to start playing at the time but I couldn't pass up the deal. This is a fine guitar for beginning guitarists. The action is not great, but it's comfortable and manageable enough for small fingers looking to build their first callus. It's not too heavy for 9 year old shoulders, either.
I would not recommend this guitar for anyone who has been playing for more than a couple of years. With guitars, you get what you pay for (to an extent) and on this one the price says it all. If you are looking for an excellently crafted guitar with great sustain and control this is not it. However, if you are looking for an instrument that a child can use as a learning tool (without breaking the bank should they decide to not pursue it) then there are worse options on the market.
PROS:
Playability for the price
Acceptable pickups
Lightweight
Comfortable-enough-for-beginners fingerboard
It looks good enough for a beginner to feel the "cool" factor
CON:
Put simply, this IS a cheap guitar. It does not feel or sound like a PRS or Gibson or even a mid-range Epiphone.Get more detail about Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar, Cherry.

the guitar is nice. it sounds ok out of the box, the electronics work pretty well, even came with a nine volt battery already installed. The built-in preamp includes a tuner, and thats a nice convenience for such a cheap instrument. But, the reviewer who said the photo doesn't do it justice was absolutely right, unfortunately I think it appears much better looking in the stock photo. the sunburst pattern is really thickly laid on graphic and does not ruin the experience but certainly does not have the class that the photo exudes.Get more detail about Oscar Schmidt OG10CEFYS Folk Acoustic Electric Guitar.
Discount Traveler Guitar Escape EG-2 Electric Travel Guitar (Blue, Deluxe Gig Bag)
I'll be respectfully brief and to the point. This is not only a great travel guitar, but a pretty damn interestingly voiced guitar on its own. Frankly, when I put the EG-2 through a very nice hardware amp simulator and played a bit I was pleasantly surprised. Enough sounds in its palette to satisfy with really good tone and feel. It is very well made and aside from not being able to comment on it's longevity I am very satisfied with this guitar and the niche it fills admirably.Get more detail about Traveler Guitar Escape EG-2 Electric Travel Guitar (Blue, Deluxe Gig Bag).
Cheapest Martin DX1 6-string Acoustic Guitar
I purchased this guitar and was dismayed to find some fret buzz up on the neck. So I opted to return it. What I received next certainly looked like the same guitar, but wasn't quite what I was expecting. The fullness and warmth was gone and the fret buzz was markedly worse. I had my luthier try and set it up and restrung the thing with numerous strings, but still the problems persisted. Such poor craftsmanship, whether it's the low rung model or not, is just unacceptable. Especially from a Made in America DX-1. Do yourself a favor and play the thing in person before buying. I hear it's an awesome guitar when they take the time and care to assemble it correctly.Get more detail about Martin DX1 6-string Acoustic Guitar.

Buying J. Reynolds JR15N 36'' Nylon String Student Acoustic Guitar
my son and I used to fight over this guitar. whenever it was missing I found it his room, upstairs. purchased one for him. we have other guitars (gibson, ovation, full sized classical, peavy, johnson), but this is our "go to guitar" because it's easy to play, fun
and you don't need to have a meltdown, if you bump it against the wall or something else!
highly recommended for everyday use and travel.Get more detail about J. Reynolds JR15N 36'' Nylon String Student Acoustic Guitar.
Buy Yamaha F Series FX325 Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural
I returned a Yamaha classical guitar Gig Maker pack due to a very defective finish on the guitar top. I had considered an electric acoustic before. I have had great experience with a Yamaha Clavinova piano -- exceptional customer service. I decided to try this guitar, and I am very pleased. Construction is unbeatable for the price. Great sound. If I were giving advice, I would say buy a guitar and accessories separately, unless you are a novice and just want to try playing. Everyone who has seen or played this guitar really likes it.Get more detail about Yamaha F Series FX325 Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural.
Purchase Mitchell MD100S12EBK 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Black
I own the Mitchell MD100S which is a six string solid spruce top and mahogany sides and back. Abalone rosette, creme burling, pearl inlays on the rosewood fretwood, and comes with D'addario EXP strings. I bought it at my local Guitar center store after trying Yamaha, Epiphone, Ibanez, Fender, Laguna, Martin, and Taylor. The price of this guitar on sale was $179.99 and Musician's Friend online had it for $129,99 which Guitar Center matched and had in stock. Don't judge this guitar by its price. I'm on an aspiring musician's budget and was looking to add a dreadnought guitar to my small modest collection and had a budget in mind. $200-$300 top. I began looking at the inexpensive Epi's, Yamaha's, Ibanez, Fenders, Squier's, and just for giggles the Martin and Taylor's which everyone that knows guitars also knows these last two don't offer anything under $399 and up. Having said that, I kept going back to the Yamaha FG series and there were two that I really liked. Both were in the $200-300 price range. After trying the Yahama for a second time I thought I had made my decision and when I went to put it back on the wall where I had picked it up from the space was occupied by another guitar. I walked over to an empty slot and next to it was the Mitchell. The thing that caught my eye was the quality. Fit and finish looked impeccable and I didn't even looked at the price tag since I figured it was probably another expensive guitar as the Martin and Taylor. The rosette is an authentic abalone and the fret markers are pearl inlays. None of which either Yamaha's had. There was a sticker on the pick guard that said made of Spruce and Mahogany sides and back, not a laminate but solid stuff. I took it off the slot and went back in the audition room where I had played the other guitars. The tone blew me away! Now I really didn't want to look at the price tag. I played a few chords, looked at the back, the sides, the front, and label inside the guitar said "This instrument was designed and engineered in California and has been to exacting specifications and has been by Javanese craftsman in Indonesia" under this is the symbol WFM which I believe is the company that makes the instrument. Someone told me the Mitchell brand is the "house brand" for Guitar Center and I think GC and Musician's Friend online must be affiliated. These are the only two places that I've seen that carry this brand. Now back to how the guitar plays and sounds: I couldn't have made a wiser choice. The packing was excellent. The guitar was in tune right out of the box and I only did some minor tweeking a few weeks later as I broke the number 1 E string while playing with the tuners which are excellent. This guitar has not gone out of tune since I bought it. I have an electronic chromatic tuner which I use to check the tuning since my ears can't believe it won't go out of tune. The tuners are sealed and look to my eyes to be made by Grover. The sound is fabulous! If you're looking for a great sounding and looking guitar take a look at the Mitchell. You won't regret it. They also have the MD100 which is about $50 less, sounds just as good and has a laminate spruce top, no burling, and the Mitchell logo is not gold as on the MD100S.Get more detail about Mitchell MD100S12EBK 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Black.
Order Hohner Rockstart Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar Pack
I have no experience with guitars, but I have been pleased with the purchase. The sound seems to be decent for the price paid, and it holds tune very well. The nice thing about this kit is that it included almost all the basics to get started with- picks, extra stings, an easy to use tuner, an instructional DVD and a guitar strap.
The only complaint I had is that the guitar only came with one buttom for the strap and the strap did not include ties. It is easy to improvise ties on your own, but it seems they should either have a guitar with 2 buttons or include a strap with ties.
I would also suggest buying a capo and an instructional book along with the kit. The DVD was nice to learn the most extreme basics, but it is only an introducion DVD and you will master everything on the DVD very quickly.
This product is great for people like me who want to get started playing guitar without a huge financial investment.Get more detail about Hohner Rockstart Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar Pack.

Shop For Yamaha APX500 - Natural Acoustic Electric Cutaway Guitar
I have 3 guitars & this one is by far my favorite. I'm only 5'1 and small framed & this guitar is a perfect fit for me. The body is thinner than an acoustic & thicker than an electric. The on board tuner is great. This guitar sounds nice plugged in or on it's own. I love it!Get more detail about Yamaha APX500 - Natural Acoustic Electric Cutaway Guitar.

Cordoba CP-110 Classical Acoustic Guitar Pack Review
The guitar sounds great and it is very well finished. The Pack is great specially because it comes with the tuner, which is very hepful. The only thing that it was not as I spected is the book, which is more a panphlet than a book...the rest: GREAT. I highly recommend it.Get more detail about Cordoba CP-110 Classical Acoustic Guitar Pack.
Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar (Nylon String, Deluxe Gig Bag) Top Quality

This is my third guitar. I also have a full-sized nylon string acoustic and a Fender Squire Strat. Of my three guitars, this is the one I reach for most often these days. I play it through a Roland Micro Cube amp and it sounds great. The tone is clean and crisp. Out of the bag, the action is a bit high down the neck, but I'll have this adjusted for my playing style. I haven't tried to change strings yet and have heard it can be a bit tricky with this guitar, but I'll cross that bridge when I need to. I'm not too worried about it, and the extra flexibility this guitar gives me is worth a tiny bit of hassle. I'm learning finger-style playing and this guitar does everything I could hope. It's just fun to play. It's also quite a conversation piece. Everyone is curious about it. The extra attention is fun.Get more detail about Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar (Nylon String, Deluxe Gig Bag).

Grestch G5120 Hollowbody Guitar Orange Immediately

I have a 5120, but I can't add much to the guitar review as I'm still a newbie player. I can add that I bought a dreadnought case for the Gretsch and it fits the guitar perfectly. I recommend both guitar and case.Get more detail about Grestch G5120 Hollowbody Guitar Orange.
